’S e là brèagha a th’ ann

[It's a beautiful day]
Ok so like I promised everyone, I submitted the first backdrops up onto deviantart. I intend to be keeping to my word and so they are there! Along with the beginning few frames of Kolevis and her fly-through with a backdrop. I felt like I should show you all the making of it to know that I am doing work on it. I am very happy to present these to you:

Backdrop1
Backdrop2
Kolevis

Ok so to explain some things, the second image is of the second backdrop. It isn't shaded yet, but it will be before it is used for the animation itself. The animation shows Kolevis flying in on her Ref board. It's only 4 frames, therefore the quick loop. It looks very seamless to me so I hope you all know that it isn't being tweened, but actually drawn out, ever frame. The backdrop for the fly in isn't shaded, but it is the beginning of what will stay in that tidbit for about 4 seconds, maybe 6. I hope you are all happy about this and excited about what is to come. What I didn't do, was show you the overlay layers of the first backdrop, the ones where the clouds begin to move and the smoke from the house rises. I hope to put that together into an animated gif to show you on the update I will post tomorrow!!

PS The animator that has expressed interest in helping out with this project looks like a winner. I am very excited about this, and so here is one of his animations:

Chan eil e fada co-dhiù

[It's not far anyway]
Hello everyone! I've been getting a lot more hits recently, not much, but I can tell people are at least curious to what is going on. I found a new, stronger, better website to learn Gaelic at and am quite excited to begin some good studying. It's exciting to know that soon it will be spring break, and I will be able to devote my full attention to this animation. Yesterday I began working on my school projects and communicating with the girl who I hope will be doing the voice of Kolevis, the main character. In the end I hope to be strong enough in the language to pull it off for my character Sionn. So right now I haven't completed anymore of the animation but I am trying to pull together a good script for it. I will also scan in a backdrop and a frame of Kolevis for you all to see. I will update tomorrow with those so stay tuned!

Abair oidhche!

[What a night!]
Ok so 5th day into this thing. I am happy to let everyone know that after 5 hours, I have completed the shading of the first backdrop, as well as shade 4 frames of Kolevis flying in on her ref board, and completion of the 3rd backdrop. This is a very good post to make because it shows that this is not dying and it is stepping towards being VERY underway. I know that I have been getting a lot of hits lately and I would strongly appreciate it if others voiced their thoughts. Currently I may have another animator that could help collab with me on getting the art material down. This is a step in the right direction. Not much work will be done by myself this week in the line of animating, but I will be giving it a lot of thought, as well as possibly guide this other animator to get some frames done. If anyone would like to help, please post a reply saying so. It is open to anyone, even if you don't have an account on here or anything. This week is the finals week for portfolios at school so I am switching direction to that with my time, so that I may return to work here, with fully devoted attention. In the meantime I'd like to hear from you all, as well as scan two of the backdrops in to show the progress and the quality I am so happy to be working with. Thanks to all the supporters!

Now. Time to work on some Gaelic and schoolwork. :D
